Artist Trần Trung Bảo Brings “The Crimson Canvas” to Life at SHIBUI

At SHIBUI – The Sensory Intersection, artist Trần Trung Bảo created one of the evening’s most memorable artistic moments through his live painting performance, “The Crimson Canvas.”

Held on July 17, 2026, at Hotel Nikko Saigon, SHIBUI offered a multisensory journey where gastronomy, wine, music and visual art converged in a refined setting. BMWine was honoured to contribute thoughtfully selected wines, connecting flavour with creativity and artistic emotion.

Trần Trung Bảo’s Artistic Impression at SHIBUI

Before the guests, Trần Trung Bảo gradually transformed a blank canvas into a dynamic artwork filled with colour, movement and emotion.

Created in approximately 15 minutes, “The Crimson Canvas” captivated the audience with its striking crimson tones and expressive yet deliberate brushstrokes. The artwork developed in harmony with the emotional rhythm of the evening, creating a compelling contrast between quiet contemplation and creative movement.

The performance offered more than a completed painting. It allowed guests to witness the artistic process as it unfolded, reflecting the essence of shibui: beauty revealed through balance, depth and time.

Where Visual Art Meets Wine

Painting and wine engage different senses, yet both express identity through colour, structure, balance and depth.

As “The Crimson Canvas” emerged through layers of colour, guests explored a wine journey ranging from elegant Champagne and refreshing white wines to richer and more expressive red wines.

The encounter between art and wine created a meaningful sensory dialogue. Each brushstroke brought visual energy, while every glass offered its own aromas, texture and finish.

At BMWine, we believe wine is more than a beverage. It is a language that connects people with gastronomy, culture and artistic expression. Our presence at SHIBUI reflected our commitment to sharing wine culture through refined and meaningful experiences.

A Lasting Artistic Memory

After the artwork was completed and given sufficient time to dry, “The Crimson Canvas” returned during the final presentation of the evening.

The painting became a tangible memory of SHIBUI, preserving the intersection of colour, music, gastronomy and wine within one emotionally resonant experience.

Through his live painting performance, artist Trần Trung Bảo gave SHIBUI a distinctive visual identity. Although the evening has concluded, the colours and creative energy of “The Crimson Canvas” continue to remain in the memories of those who experienced it.
