Colour & Aroma

Deep garnet with ruby highlights and remarkable maturity. Elegant aromas of cassis, blackberry, black cherry, black plum, ripe red currant, tobacco, cigar box, liquorice, clove, cedar, graphite, espresso and dark chocolate, evolving into black truffle, leather, wild mushrooms and mocha after decanting.

Palate

Full-bodied with outstanding balance and precision. Fine-grained silky tannins and vibrant acidity support layers of cassis, blackberry, graphite, cedar, dark chocolate and cigar box, complemented by Pauillac's signature mineral character.

Style

Elegant, classical, complex, mineral-driven, refined and exceptionally age-worthy.

Food Pairing

Grilled Wagyu beef, beef tenderloin with black pepper sauce, herb-crusted rack of lamb, roast duck, venison, and aged Comté, Gruyère or Parmesan cheese.
