Produced from Primitivo grapes grown in Salento, the southern area of Puglia. After destemming, fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures of 25–28°C for approximately 10 days. During maceration, regular pump-overs are carried out to extract color, aromas, and noble compounds from the skins. Following malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged in oak before bottling.
Deep ruby red in color. Rich and opulent bouquet with intense aromas of strawberry jam and wild berries.
Full-bodied, smooth, and harmonious, with ripe wild berry flavors and sweet spice notes on the palate. An excellent pairing for roast meats, cured ham, salami, aged cheeses, and rustic bread with olives. Best served at 16°C–18°C.
