Colour & Aroma

Deep garnet-purple with an almost opaque core. Complex aromas of cassis, blackberry, black cherry, black plum, blueberry, cedar, cigar box, graphite, flint, dark chocolate and delicate smoky notes.

Palate

Full-bodied with exceptional richness and precision. Velvety tannins, vibrant acidity and concentrated layers of cassis, black cherry, bitter chocolate, cedar, graphite and smoky minerality lead to an extraordinarily long and elegant finish.

Style

Powerful, rich, elegant, mineral-driven and exceptionally age-worthy.

Food Pairing

Grilled Wagyu beef, beef tenderloin with truffle sauce, herb-crusted rack of lamb, roast duck, venison, and aged Comté, Gruyère or Cheddar cheese.
